My Story

There is nothing but good to say about Phoebe (except maybe housetraining, as she was an outside dog all her life... but she's quickly learning)! She has been nothing short of terrific – just suffering from big black dog syndrome and hence her risk at the shelter for euthanasia. Phoebe is kind, sweet, loveable, gentle and very much a Lab girl. I think she lived in someone’s back yard and never was in a house – but she has obviously forgiven and forgotten that and is moving forward nicely. Phoebe was so quickly adopted, she didn't have any PetFinder time at all - YAY! Her new mom and dad met her – loved her instantly and she them. Phoebe (renamed Pepper by her new family) also met the 4- year old child and the other EM-adopted dog, Gilly Flower, at a park. All went well. And, does she LOVE kids. Pepper is a kid’s dog – this is the type of dog you would want any kid to grow up with and she has melted mom and dad’s hearts.
