My Story

Meet Philip, the gentle giant Great Pyrenees with over 100 pounds of pure love to give. This majestic boy was found wandering the streets of Bakersfield, his once-beautiful coat matted with dreadlocks and crawling with ticks and fleas. Despite his rough start, Philip's spirit remained gentle and kind. Rescued from the shelter, he’s since shown us what a truly remarkable dog he is. Philip is the epitome of easy-going. He has a calm demeanor and a low energy level, preferring leisurely strolls to high-speed chases. In fact, we’ve never seen him move very fast! He’s great with most dogs, though he occasionally has issues with other males. However, he absolutely adores playing with a tiny female pug, and watching them romp around together is simply adorable. Despite his size, Philip has adapted wonderfully to living in an apartment or condo. He doesn’t need a lot of space and is content with a cozy spot to relax. He’s fantastic on a leash and doesn’t pull, making walks a pleasant experience for both of you. Above all, Philip craves affection and is ready to be your loyal best friend. If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion who doesn’t require much more than your love and attention, Philip is your perfect match. He’s ready to fill your life with gentle joy and unwavering loyalty. Will you be the one to give Philip the forever home he deserves?
