My Story

Looking for an excitable dog? With an innocent look on his face and a tennis ball in his mouth, Phillipe may be the one for you! Philippe the 42lb dog loves to play and would benefit from an active home. He is young so plenty of time exploring and learning is a must. Phillipe was found as a stray in a county dog park. While no one came to claim Phillipe, he showed himself to be a smart and friendly dog! Phillipe is now seeking a home of his own. Phillipe is curious about interacting with other dogs. He comes on hyper and excited with other canine so please bring your dog to the shelter in for an introduction to Phillipe. We strongly recommend that Philippe go to an experienced dog owner's home willing to work with him on socialization, training and overall being a dog. Come adopt Phillipe today! If you'd like to meet our available pets, please check the "shelter information" box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours! Both of our locations are open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 12-5 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays 12-7 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 11 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information on our adoption process, including requirements and fees, visit: www.fairfaxcounty.gov/animalshelter/adopt
