Petunia- adopted

Petunia is a goofy little rascal! She's busy discovering everything! Listens very well to "no" and learns very quickly what's allowed and what isn't. (ie which furniture she's not allowed on). She, too, loves to be outside but is not quite as fastidious about keeping clean. She's started cleaning up the garden on her own - pulling the dead cornstalks out. Petunia is very exuberant and loves, loves, loves to play. She watches the kids out the window wanting to join them. She sure likes her walks, but does tend to pull on the leash - there's just so much to investigate just beyond reach. Petunia goes into the kennel by herself and waits to be covered up. Doesn't make any noise until she hears you moving around in the morning. A REAL CUDDLER! Likes to be real close to her people. Both Petunia and Prancer accept being kennelled when we're out and can't take them with us. No messes in the kennel. No anxiety. No destructive behaviours. Both can be handled while they are eating without danger of being bitten.

Definitions:

Pending - means that we are working through the adoption process with the 1st applicant. We usually don't add the pending until we are pretty sure the adoption will go through (like at the home visit stage)

On Trial or Trial Visit - means that the dog is in their new home for up to 2 weeks before the adopters need to commit to keeping the dog. We want to make sure that everyone is happy with the new living arrangements! We allow this option for everyone except very long distance adoptions (too far to drive).

Adopted - you know!! A happy ending for a homeless dog. We try to let everyone know when we have the final word. Within about 24 hours, the dog's bio will be moved to our happy tails section!ent with this boy.
