My Story

**Available by appt only - email [email protected] to schedule** Peppermint had her FHO surgery to repair her leg and is ready to find her forever family. She will need some continuing PT during recovery but is doing really well with that in her foster home. Ready for a taste of the unexpected? Meet Peppermint, the 40lb Hound with a nose for adventure and a heart full of spice. This gal is energetic - she loves to explore, sniff, investigate, and play, but when she wears herself out, she'll curl up on her doggy bed and sleep through an earthquake! Peppermint is also a snuggle bunny at the end of a long day; she likes to lie next to you with her nose behind your back or on your lap. Any time she sees a canine companion, she'll whimper with excitement to say hello, and her idea of playtime is a nice roll and wrestle in the grass. Peppermint is good on a leash, but she will follow her inquisitive nose anywhere there are good sniffs. With excellent house and crate manners, she seems to be fully house-trained and will stand by the door when she wants to go out. Sometimes she'll use her voice to say hello to people, and she loves a good chew toy, especially the ones that have treats hidden in them. With her mahogany red coat and a cute white patch on her chest, Peppermint is your canine detective, sniffing out fun at every corner. Fill out an adoption request and make an appointment to meet Peppermint and plenty of her sweet friends at Saving Grace! **Volunteer Dog Walker feedback: "I would say she is a medium energy dog". " She is a bit nervous of passing cars". " Friendly with the other dogs in the group". " Very good walker, very little pulling, kept pace nicely but liked to sniff and liked to walk with other dogs". *Weekend Host feedback: "Very good at potty when she's outside, there wasn't a single accident in the house". "She protests getting into the crate, but once she is in she did well all night". "She likes chasing after balls (not so much bringing them back), rolling around in the grass and sniffing every inch of the yard".
