My Story

Update - Pepe has a Guardian Angel! Thanks to everyone who passed his sad story along, Pepe has found a loving temporary foster home so he does not have to wait in a facility setting. We are thrilled that Pepe is now getting the special attention he deserves in a real home! We will bring you updates on how Pepe is enjoying his new family! However, Pepe's home is only temporary and we need to find him a place to call FOREVER as soon as possible! Please consider giving this tiny guy a soft bed and loving atmosphere in his golden years! If you would like to meet Pepe, please contact our Center by phone or E-mail. Pepe thanks you for caring about him!

Original Posting - This very special little boy is Pepe! Pepe is a fourteen year old Chihuahua who lived his entire life being loved by one owner. Pepe's daddy suffered from a serious heart ailment and will no longer be able to care for Pepe. As you can imagine, losing his dad so suddenly and then being taken to a shelter is almost too much for Pepe to bear. He is not adjusting well and is in IMMEDIATE NEED OF A FOSTER HOME where he can learn to feel comfortable. At this time, Pepe will give a warning by showing teeth when he is overwhelmed and upset, so a foster or forever home with no small children is a must. Pepe does have the beginnings of cateracts on both eyes and some fatty tumors on his little body. This is not at all uncommon for a dog of Pepe's age and he has no immediate or disabling health issues. Simply put, Pepe is an older gentleman who thought he would live his whole life being loved by his owner. This guy needs a place out of a shelter environment to begin to live again. Animal Adoption Center is very open to speaking with any rescue groups who may have a foster home available for Pepe!! Please help us help this little guy as soon as possible - If you have an opportunity for Pepe, please E-mail [email protected]!
