PENNY HAS BEEN ADOPTED! WE WISH PENNY AND HER NEW DAD ALL OF THE BEST!The adoption fee for Penny is $125.00. Due to recent, unfortunate circumstances, we will now ONLY accept CASH as payment for her adoption fee....we apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause our adopters. Penny was surrendered by her owner because she said that she did not get along with her cat and she felt that the cat was endangered. According to her owner, Penny is 3 years old and is housebroken(although we do not guarantee this!) & crate trained. Penny gets along very well with children and other dogs although she does like to assert herself as dominant. Because of her history with cats, we definitely recommend a home WITHOUT cats! Penny appears to be a jack russell/chihuahua mix as she has sharper features than if she were purebred jack russell. Penny will make an excellent companion for any family as long as they do not have cats! If you are looking for a small dog who will be your buddy, then Penny is it! Penny has been spayed and brought current on her vacc. Her former owner did NOT keep her up on her HWP so she has tested positive for heartworms but this is NOT a death sentence as so many people believe. Penny has started microfilaricide treatment and can be put onto a monthly HWP such as Interceptor, Heartguard, etc just as a HW- dog would need to be.
