Crate trained: yes Good with Kids: Good with Dogs: yes Good with Cats: yes Concerns: none BIOGRAPHY Meet Penny, a 6-year-old retired “breeder” Havanese dog. She would love to be adopted into a nice, quiet adult home with maybe a small fur brother or sister to play with (not opposed to having a kitty sibling, she is an equal opportunity pup)! Penny’s bathroom habits are being worked on and she is doing really well. She may have an occasional accident, but not to worry it doesn’t happen all the time. She likes to go out directly after she eats her meals and will give some clues when she needs to go out, as she loves a schedule! She also knows how to keep her crate clean. She doesn’t mind her crate and getting her in and out of it is not a problem. Penny was rescued from a backyard breeder. She is still a bit shy but learning to embrace her new surroundings, so she will require a patient adopter who is willing to give her time to settle in and learn to trust. She has learned to love attention and voice her opinion if she is not getting it or if you are giving another baby attention. She likes to play and run around the yard and act silly, like chasing squirrels or butterflies with her foster sister. She is still trying to figure out how to walk on a leash. She doesn’t hate it but would rather go for a car ride on your lap instead. If you’d like a nighttime cuddle buddy with a bit of light snoring, Penny may just be the girl for you! I haven’t learned to jump up on the bed or furniture yet, so she will need picked up to get on or off either one. She loves to lie on the floor dog and stretch completely out when chilling with her foster family in front of the TV. Oh yeah, and she LOVES toys too!
