Penny is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX and is eligible to transport to an adopter as soon as one is lined up. Meet Penny! Penny is a 2 year old female, pit bull terrier mix. She is fully vaccinated, microchipped, spayed and ready to find her forever family! Penny currently weighs 49 pounds. Penny was picked up as a stray and taken into a high kill shelter in Houston, TX. She quickly ran out of time and ended up on the euthanasia list. On her "last day" we had a foster step up and offer to help us save her! Penny is dog friendly and currently lives with multiple other dogs! Penny's foster mom describes her as having a moderate energy level. She's outgoing and loves playing with other dogs. Penny has never met cats before, so we're not sure how she would react to them. Penny has been around children ages 7 and 11 and she was great with them! She loves kids and gets so excited to see them. Penny's foster mom thinks she would do great with any age of kids. Penny walks great on a leash! She will stay calmly by your side. She does get excited at the beginning of the walk, but quickly settles in and stays with you. Penny is fully potty trained and does not have any accidents inside the home. She makes sure to do all of her business outside in the backyard. Penny is also crate trained. She currently stays in her crate while her foster mom is away for work or errands. Penny is great about sharing her food! So great, that she wants to share everyone's food lol her foster mom crates her while she eats, so that her foster siblings are also able to eat their food. She LOVES toys and loves collecting them all in her crate. Here are a few things Penny's foster mom had to say about her: Penny is such a loving and sweet girl. She was shy at first, but warms up so quickly! Penny has such a cute, bubbly personality once you get to know her. She's pretty quiet and laid back. Penny really enjoys watching TV with her humans or playing in the backyard with her doggies siblings. She's definitely a people pleaser and wants to make her humans happy!
