Penguin

Penguin was picked up as a stray and never claimed. This little guy is only around 5-6 months old. He doesn't seem to have had a great start in life. He doesn't have any training, so he will need to start from scratch with everything. Penguin does not know what leash is. He will need a patient owner to teach him this important skill. In the meantime, a fenced yard would be wonderful for him. Another friendly, well behaved dog friend would help him a lot as well. We have not seen Penguin with kids or cats. He would need to meet the whole family prior to adoption. Penguin is a lab type mix. He is 30 pounds now, and he will likely grow up into the 50-60 pound range. Penguin has been neutered and vaccinated. This little guy did already test positive for Lyme disease even at his young age. He will go with medication for that. He will need follow-up veterinary care for booster vaccines and to make sure the Lyme disease is treated appropriately. Any potential adopter needs to be prepared for additional vet care costs, and they need to make a lifetime commitment to train and care for Penguin.
