PENELOPE

PENELOPE is a sweet & friendly girl, estimated to be around 2 years old (and a bit under 40 lbs). She can be a little shy at first, and that’s ok because she has everything else going for her! This girl is a GEM, so it should be surprising that someone would throw her out to live on the front porch, and toss out a tortilla for her every now and then. This is Texas though, and sadly this isn’t the first pup here who has had an unfortunate story. MISS PENELOPE is close to a perfect package, (checking almost all the boxes). She is affectionate, sweet, and quiet (she hardly barks). She listens well and has an obedient nature. She only jumps on the couch when invited, she walks just fine on the leash, and is both crate and house-trained. She is dog-friendly and kid-friendly. We aren’t sure how she is with cats, and she probably isn’t your best watch dog. We do have lots of storms here in Texas, and she does not appear to have any storm or separation anxiety (which is really nice). She also rides well in a car, and is ok sleeping in her crate at night. PENELOPE is a playful girl and loves to play keep away with her toys. Her general energy is about a 7, which is a favorable energy level for a young dog (not hyper or over the top). She’s funny too, because while she isn’t big on giving kisses, she enjoys receiving them! She loves to get in your face, and waits FOR YOU to kiss HER! She is a fun and happy girl. She likes to play with toys, humans, and also run around in the yard. Penelope would do well in a home with all the attention on her, and at the same time, would also enjoy the company of another pup. In other words, she is happy and flexible with the family dynamics…. Single person, couple or family. Bottomline for this sweet angel… She’d love a home of her own, a family of her own, and an opportunity to be the apple of your eye!
