Peaches has a little bit of a story behind her. Came to this rescue approx several months ago and got adopted out straight away, sadly we had a bunch of storms here in SA and we found out that she is terrified of thunderstorms to the point of destruction. Three storms hit and there was doors destroyed and parts of walls. Her owner was at her last nerve and said if we wont help sadly she is out of options. In walks in Linda...another one of the angels that walks amoung us, she said she would take foster her. Linda had worked her magic and has come a long way with Peaches, to the point where storms have hit and no more destruction. This is what Linda has to write about her foster girl.
Peaches is an older girl that doesn't know she is aging. She has a slight problem with storms and is learning to face her fears. Peaches needs a home that has an established Human pack leader, she will fit in beautifully with other dogs or as an only dog. Although she will lounge around on a cool floor all day if allowed to, she loves a good game of fetch and tug-o-war, and prefers the company of children to adults. She prefers to sleep in the kids room, is great on a leash and will not jerk or forge ahead, and loves to go on evening walks. She has never gotten on any furniture here or the bed, she prefers a cool floor or her own bed. She will do a little counter cleaning, but we are working on that problem also and she is coming along nicely. Due to her storm issues, she will need a strong leader she can trust and look up to, to help her continue working through this fear.
Peaches needs to stop being passed around from home to home and needs someone who will accept her for who she is...faults and all and work with them... an amazing dog who will make your home complete.
