My Story

** Paul is available for foster or adoption! Email [email protected] to set up a meet + greet! ** Introducing Paul, the charming husky mix with a heart full of love and a personality that's as unique as his beautiful markings. This handsome guy might be a little nervous around other dogs, but he's a total sweetheart with kids and is housebroken to boot! Paul is looking for a home where he can shine as the one and only pet, soaking up all the attention and affection he deserves. He might take a little time to warm up to new furry friends, but with his amazing loyalty and playful spirit, he's sure to become your best buddy in no time. This lovable guy is ready to bring joy to a family that appreciates his playful energy and sweet nature. Whether it's a game of fetch, a walk in the park, or just cuddling up on the couch, Paul is eager to share his life with a family who'll give him the love and space he needs to feel safe and happy. A family took him for a day trip, and this is what they shared about their day together! "He does great in the car! He didn't seem anxious or car sick, and took turns lying on the folded down seat or standing in the backseat well. We went walking in the neighborhood and he did pretty well. He pulled a little but not the whole time. He seemed to ignore cats and squirrels we saw on the street. We had to cross a busy street (Harlem), and he did not seem bothered by the sound of traffic. He was able to sit and stand at the crosswalk. In our yard, he seemed to enjoy walking around, chasing bugs, and getting pets. We got out a kiddie pool, but he had no interest in using it for anything other than drinking. We had some lunch and while he seemed interested in the food bags at first, he did not beg or whine or jump for food. He seemed so motivated for interacting with people. We saw people on our walk and he would go over for pets. He met people through our fence and wanted to say hi. He really only ran when called or someone ran around with him (kids doing yard chase). he was content just sitting and getting pets and chilling near the people. He was in our house briefly and ignored the snacks in the kitchen on the floor, but did sniff around for dropped cereal under the table or crumbs under the couch. The only time he barked was when our neighbor dog started barking first and they saw each other through the chain link fence. All in all, he seems like a people loving, easy going, super fluffy good boi." If you're looking for a devoted and loving companion who's great with kids and ready to be your one and only pet, Paul is your perfect match. Come meet him and see how this fantastic husky mix can make your home even more wonderful! ** Apply to foster or adopt at ChicagoCanineRescue.org! **
