My Story

Patch is a 3 year old Pitbull mix who weighs 63 pounds. He does well with submissive dogs, but not so well with cats. He loves all people. Overall he is a very sweet dog. We recently found out that Patch has arthritis, so he will need medication to keep him comfortable. Unfortunately, here he is usually standing or laying in his kennel. He would benefit greatly in a home where he is free to walk around and get exercise and also find soft spots to lay in to nap and sleep. This doggy is described as a 'Teacher's Pet'. I've got the whole package - smart, fuzzy, four legs, love to learn and live to please. Go ahead, teach me anything. Sit, stay, balance your checkbook, I can do it all. Keep me entertained and I'll be yours forever. (Externally motivated). For more information on this animal contact [email protected] or call 319-653-6713. We recommend crate training until you’re confident that your dog is used to his/her new home: http://www.aspca.org/pet-care/virtual-pet-behaviorist/dog-behavior/weekend-crate-training All our dogs have been spayed or neutered or arrangements will be made if currently too young. They will be treated for fleas, bathed, vaccinated against distemper/parvo, treated against general parasites, and if of age, tested for heart worms and vaccinated against rabies. If underage for these things at the time of adoption, they are to be done at the adopter’s cost when the dog becomes of age. They will be microchipped at the time of adoption.
