My Story

Pancake / M / 1Y / Chihuahua mix / 17lbs / Fostered in Toronto Pancake is extremely affectionate, sweet and adorable. He LOVES other dogs and wants to say hi to every dog he sees. His foster mom loves how even at a year old, he still looks like a puppy. He is a little nervous of sudden movements and noises and will piddle if scared. He's getting better with reassurance from his foster mom and doggy brother. Pancake is house trained and is currently going out for 4-5 potty breaks a day. He will whine in his crate for about 5 minutes and then settles. He has been left alone for up to 6 hours and is fine. He is getting much better on walks and will trot along with his foster mom. He is low/medium energy and is currently getting 1-2 hours of exercise per day. He is working on basic commands and building confidence. He has not shown any guarding behaviours. Pancake is shy when meeting new people and needs slow intros but once he knows he can trust you, he's very sweet and loving. He's great with dogs of all sizes. He has not been cat tested but has shown no prey drive. He would be good with kids 12+. He is looking for a quiet home with a family who'll continue to help him feel confident. He would love a doggy sibling to play with! If you are interested in adopting Pancake, please complete an adoption application on our website.
