My Story

ADOPTED! - Paisley is a beautiful young lady--so loving and fun, with a great sense of humor! She has a sleek, glossy coat, she's approx. 2 years old and she weighs 20 lbs. (She's not as big as her picture makes her look; in real life she's about knee high.) We really don't know what mix of breeds Paisley is, but some people have told us she looks like a Whippet/Manchester mix. Paisley is very gentle and sweet, she's good with other dogs, and she has enough energy and intelligence to make a GREAT agility dog! (She is a little afraid of small children though, so an individual adopter, a couple, or an adoptive family with older children would be best for her.) True to the breed we think she may be, Paisley can run like the wind and she is so beautiful when she runs that watching her cover ground at the dog park brings tears to people's eyes! Because of this, though, she will need a large, safely fenced yard (please, no invisible fencing) so that she can get the exercise she needs. (She'd make a great running partner too, for someone who is into physical fitness and/or runs marathons!) We would prefer that Paisley not be a latchkey dog, so an adopter who works out of his/her home or is retired (or someone who just works part time) would be best for her. Paisley is housebroken and crate trained (although we only crate for short periods of time) and she is spayed, immunized, heartworm tested, wormed, and microchipped--and her adoption fee is $275. If you are interested in possibly adopting Paisley, please send an e-mail to: [email protected] and tell us a little about yourself, your daily schedule, if you have a large safely fenced yard, etc. Then, if we feel Paisley would be a good fit for you, we will e-mail you an adoption application to fill out.
Please click on "One Starfish Rehoming Connections" above the photo to read more about our rescue's adoption policies and fees. We do not operate a humane society or shelter, so we do not have a facility that is open to the public. Our dogs are fostered by volunteers in private homes, and they are not available for viewing until an adoption application is filled out and references are checked. Please read the information on our home page (by clicking on our rescue name adjacent to this dog's photo) before contacting us.
