Ozzie

Ozzie is an approximately 2 year old terrier (?) mix who weighs about 35 pounds.. He is so unique looking that we are unsure of what to call him! This poor guy was abandoned in his home when his owners moved away. Despite his previous circumstances, Ozzie is a very active and happy boy, who greets every activity with unbridled enthusiasm and exuberance. So far he has done well in a crate and appears to like children, although he may be too jumpy for little ones.Ozzie has attended several of our group training classes and is very smart and a fast learner. He will need an active home that keeps his sharp mind engaged. He is toy and food motivated and would make a great partner in a dog sport. Ozzie was in a home for a month, but the resident kitties did not adjust to a new energetic roommate. His adopters were devastated. They said that Ozzie is quiet, loving, great in the crate, very smart, has good recall and is a fantastic hiking partner. Ozzie wasn't aggressive towards the kitties, but liked to chase them, so a home without kitties may be best. All of our animals are up to date on their vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and have had a physical exam. At adoption we provide: veterinary records and vaccine certificates, castration certificate, lifetime lost animal support, one month’s worth of flea medication and heartworm medication, one week’s worth of food, a leash, a collar, an ID tag, and a familiar toy or blanket to help them settle in. We also provide lifetime basic positive training support.
