My Story

Meet the Outstanding Otto! He is an American Staffordshire mix, about 4 years old and weighs 45 pounds. Meet Otto, the adorable and super sweet snuggle bug who loves being pampered. This part Staffordshire terrier/hound mix has a unique look with his short and long body, weighing in at 45 lbs. His chocolate chip cookie dough color and tater-tot shape make him irresistible. Otto loves belly rubs and basking in the sun. He's potty trained, leash trained, and knows commands like sit, shake, and wait, thanks to his positive reward-based training. Easygoing and friendly, Otto enjoys meeting new people and saying hi to everyone he meets. This lovable dog thrives on being around his people. His favorite activities include sunbathing, doing zoomies in the yard, snuggling up with you on the couch while you watch movies (don't forget the popcorn!), and going on walks. He's used to snuggling on furniture and loves his soft blankets. Otto is also great on car rides, settling in comfortably for the journey. Otto's past has left him with some food-related anxieties. He was found wandering and starving in Texas, which has led to some food ambitions with other dogs. Therefore, he needs to be the only dog in the household. While he can walk with other dogs and enjoy treats along the way, he may feel compelled to fight for food if it's accessible around other dogs. Importantly, Otto has never resource-guarded from people. He is crate trained and loves his chew toys. When alone in the house, Otto remains uncrated in a room with a window view, where he doesn't bark at passersby or other dogs. He's playful with dogs his size but tends to be nervous around larger dogs, removing himself from play areas when they are present. Otto will do best with a family until a suitable new home is found. Prospective adopters must own their home and have a fenced yard. If you're ready to open your heart and home to this sweet boy, please le us know.
