My Story

Oreo (We call him Rodeo because he is often acting like he is in a Rodeo show) is a sweet boy surrendered to the local animal shelter by the owner claiming that the dog did not get along with the boyfriend in the home. He was pulled by the rescue instead of being euthanized. Oreo is neutered, fully vaccinated and heartworm negative. Oreo has only been with the rescue for a short time now and is in a foster home with no other animals. Oreo is very loving and already appears devoted to his foster mom. He has adjusted qucikly to the structure and routine in his foster home. Oreo does have the typical Chihuahua attitude- defensive at times. Oreo is very protective over his bed and doesn't like anyone to mess with it. He can also be funny about how his harness is handled. Oreo is beginning to learn basic commands with his foster mom. But is good at recognizing and coming when his name is called. He walks well on a leash and seems to enjoy walks. He came from a household with other dogs, but we do not know alot about his relationship with those dogs. If interested in Oreo please know that he will need some patience, time and understanding. We are not sure that young children in the home would be a good idea.To inquire about an animal or submit an application visit https://www.hands2paws.org/adopt.html
