Characteristics

If you are looking for a playmate for your dog, Opal is your gal! Opal is a 6-month-old Hound/Terrier mix who tips the scales at 45 pounds. Opal is an energetic gal who gives 110% to everything - she plays hard, naps hard, and gives her whole heart to her people. Opal LOVES to romp with her canine foster siblings and would make a fabulous playmate for a resident dog. Opal also does well with dog-savvy cats. She is one lucky pup, as her foster mom is also a dog trainer, so she has been eagerly working on perfecting her basic commands and more. She is treat-motivated, which makes for fairly easy training. Opal's ideal family will be active and should have another playful dog for her to romp with. She is both house and crate-trained and eager to find a family to love!
She is spayed, and up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives.
This dog's adoption fee is $450.
***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs....all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many!
Puppies require an adopter who is home a good part of the day to continue their training - no exceptions! They are up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines and preventatives and will need to be spayed/neutered at the age of 6 months. Please note, this pup's immune system will not be fully functioning until about 16 weeks of age and therefore, s/he is not suited for Apartment/Condo living or Town homes without a private fenced yard and will not be able to go to public places where s/he could possibly be exposed to the germs of unvaccinated dogs, such as PetSmart/PetCo and dog parks until s/he is 16 weeks old.
