My Story

Ollie is a seven year old, 55 pound lab mix that was picked up as a stray and taken to a shelter. Ollie was healthy and seemed to be in very good shape, and they were sure that someone would come for him, but sadly they didn’t. He remained in the shelter for a month. It was clear that his world had been turned upside down. Finally a rescue came for him, but he sat in boarding until a foster opened up. Ollie has done well in the foster home. He’s housetrained and crate trained and gets along with the foster’s dog, who basically keeps to himself. The foster is also a trainer, so Ollie has had the benefit of instruction, and aside from a little stubborn streak, which is common with a dog not quite ready to trust his new environment, he has proven himself to be smart and eager to please. Ollie would do best in a home with a confident owner that makes him feel safe.
