Oliver

Oliver is a very handsome boy! We think he's part Lab/Hound, because he has very big jowls and big eyes like a hound. His approximate birthdate is 1/13/04 and weighs about 62#. He was a stray, so we do not know anything about his past life. Oliver deserves a home, we've had him since 7/05. He cannot help it if he's a large, black, male dog. What matters is that he is a wonderful dog—please come meet him, you won't be disappointed!

Oliver is very playful and loves to scope out wildlife. He can spend all day watching birds and squirrels and anything else that moves. Or he can spend time just laying at your feet in the house.

Oliver loves other dogs, he is very playful. A playmate would be great for him. He has been around cats that like dogs, but if the cat runs, he will chase. He loves everyone he meets, including children.

He is crate trained, and appears to be house trained.

Oliver would be great for an active person. He walks perfectly with a Gentle Leader. He has started his Obedience training. He does pretty well with SIT, COME, DOWN, he is very smart and eager to please.

When given an opportunity to relax, Oliver is a big lap dog! He just loves to snuggle with his human!

Who will give this terrific boy the good life he deserves? He’ll be a very loyal companion.

This dog's adoption fee is $265 (plus tax). This includes being neutered, current on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations, wormed, microchipped with the HomeAgain microchip, heartworm tested (negative) and medicated during the heartworm season (May-Dec) while in our care, comes with a Gentle Leader headcollar (if we feel it is needed), and is currently learning Basic Obedience commands and good doggie manners.
