OKIE is wondering why no one has asked to meet him. He's been waiting patiently for a new home and is hoping you'll notice how wonderful he is. Okie is a 4 year old, 50 lb heart worm positive brindle lab mix with the best smile. He's dog friendly, kid friendly and didn't seem to mind cats. Okie enjoyed his time out during the Paws Around the Pee Dee event, getting lots of treats, making friends with the other dogs and kids and loved meeting new people. He has excellent leash skills, enjoyed taking a walk, and is a calm, laid back boy. Okie has met several dogs in play groups and gets along with everyone. He's so friendly that volunteers use him as a "tester dog", indicating just how well balanced and awesome he is. Okie came in very underweight but with love, care and regular meals he's filled out and is quite handsome. Okie would make a great companion and would love to snuggle with you.
