OK Shrek

Shrek has been adopted.

Shrek is a one year old neutered male Anatolian Shepherd dog.
He narrowly escaped being put to sleep at the shelter. His time had run out but the shelter workers all fell in love with him and begged to find a foster home for him.
He is now in foster care outside Tulsa, OK.

Shrek is good with other dogs and the shelter said he was good with cats when they tested him.
Shrek loves children and loves to be with people.
He seems to be housebroken, will walk on lead and knows basic commands.

Shrek will do best in a home as a family companion/guardian. He would not do well where he was put outside and left alone.
As with all Anatolians, he will require secure fencing, at least 5 ft high.
Shrek also likes to "smile", he has such a handsome face!
His foster mom writes:
Shrek wants so much Love and has Love to give -- he is so excited to see us --- but I think he would be happy with someone that could/would spend much more time with him.
The people at the animal shelter loved him so much and couldn't stand the thought of putting him to sleep so we adopted him hoping we could find him a home. He likes to go in the car, he will just jump right in --- and when my husband brings him in the house, he will just lay down in the floor. He was jealous over his food when we first got him, he was very hungry, but he is over that now we keep food out for him all the time so he doesn't worry about it anymore.
