Personality | Sunny is a super sweet timid boy that will need some time and patience to blossom. He has been making great progress in his foster home. He loves food which helps him in learning the world around him is not such a scary place. Story | Sunny and several other dogs were confiscated in a neglect case. They were living outdoors amongst trash and debris. Other Dogs | Sunny has spent his life around dogs and finds comfort in having them around. He's been in foster homes with multiple dogs and does great with them. He's happy to share toys, food, water with his foster friends. Cats | Sunny is a gentle soul and hasn't shown signs of prey drive so would most likely do well with a dog friendly kitty. Children | Sunny can get spooked by loud noises and fast movements but would likely love kids once he gets to known them. Training | Sunny is house trained and LOVES his crate!! He needs some coaxing but will make his way out to the bathroom on his own. He is food motivated so should be easy to train once he's more comfortable with his surroundings. He is a great little car rider and does great at the vet. Leash l Sunny enjoys going on walks!! He's nervous but gaining more confidence every day. He loves meeting other dogs on walks!! Activity Level | Sunny is a pretty mellow guy so far. Health Notes | Sunny is Heartworm negative, neutered, and up to date on vaccines!! Thank you! | Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $475 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $425 for 1-6 years, $375 for dogs 7-10 years, and $250 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $525. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $700 per dog). Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only. To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page! We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved. Your application is good for 90 days from the time of approval for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle.
