URGENT –KID, CAT AND DOG FRIENDLY, AFFFECTIONATE PUREBRED LOOKING, MELLOW BOY IN NEED OF A LOVING, RESPONSIBLE HOME, OR FOSTER AND RESCUE ASAP - WHO CAN HELP? PLS CONTACT ROBIN FOR HELP OR WITH INTEREST
Please help us find a loving and responsible home for this sweet middle aged chow boy Oakley. He was brought to the San Diego shelter along with a younger dog. Although his owner was found, they were unable to provide for his medical needs and decided to surrender him the shelter could provide his much needed entropion surgery to repair his eye and a life of pain he must have been living. The shelter stated “on intake he walked well with staff back to exam room. Extremely tolerant of petting and leaned in. Able to handle for all treatments.” They describe Oakley as, “a friendly and affectionate boy who loves attention and car rides. While he's not the most active dog, Oakley enjoys spending time with people and has a history of coexisting peacefully with a cat, other dogs, and well-mannered children. Additionally, Oakley has a foundation for crate training, which will help with his transition into his new home. Oakley is recovering from an eye entropion surgery, and will need a bit of follow up care and monitoring post-adoption.” Oakley is listed as 7 years old, and weighs 55 lbs, so he is slightly smaller than the average male chow. If you have another pet, we always recommend a meet and greet whenever possible. He was recently neutered and is ready to go home; his adoption fee is only $110 and also includes his vaccinations.
