Nyla is incredibly curious and adores pets and scratches, always eager to make new friends. She loves other dogs and is playful with both small and large dogs, effortlessly mingling with everyone she meets. Nyla walks very well on a leash and is highly motivated by treats, making her a joy to train. Nyla would be happy as the only dog in a home, but she would also enjoy having a dog friend to share her adventures. She has a cute little swagger when she's happily prancing around, and she makes it a point to meet and greet all the dogs at puppy parties. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. We typically do not adopt to homes with young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, many of these dogs come around with patience and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience.
