NOVA is a sweet girl who loves to cuddle and play and just LOVES kids. Her favorite things to do are chase after tennis balls and play in water. Dogs are a bit iffy for her - she used to live with two dogs. The male she got along with great and had lots of fun with - but there was also a senior blind female dog in the home who had some resource guarding and they were allowed to eat near each other and ended up in some fights and she had to be surrendered. In the shelter, she was exposes to some chill male dogs and she got along with them fine, so it's not that dogs are out of the question, but we'd say it seems males may be better than other females, and we'd want to let any potential housemates meet before adoption. No cats for Nova. She is house trained, crate trained, and knows all basic commands. She's 2 years old, 65 lbs and fully vetted. She was one of the shelter favorites for the shelter staff and volunteers and they begged us to take her to help give her a better chance at her own forever home. She really did love the kids and would enjoy a home with kids to play with. The shelter has also sponsored part of her adoption fee to help get her in the perfect home - and so that is just $200! Adoption fee covers: all vetting to age (including deworming, deflea etc ), spay/neuter and microchip after 6 months of age at our clinic, $60 rebate for completion of positive-based training classes, and lifetime support of rescue. We are not a shelter and are completely foster-based, so there is no central place to come see all of the dogs available. PLEASE NOTE: If a dog is listed as Adoptable, he or she is still available at that time. Also, our adoption area is within a several hour radius of us in Rochester, NY (NOT including Canada - sorry!)
