**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. For adoption information go to: www.homewardbounddogrescue.com. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics. Nova is a delightful 6 year old mix of australian cattle dog and blue heeler. If you guess that she loves to run and play, you’d be right on the money! Very sadly, Nova had to be surrendered when a member of her human family became seriously ill and had to travel extensively for medical care. She was a beloved member of her family and has a lot of love to give to the person or family that opens their heart to her. She loves to go for walks and sniff, sniff, sniff. She has a tendency to pull, but her foster mom has found that a chest harness and retractable leash give her the range she craves to hop, jump and explore. And having high quality treats to recall her when she gets in the “zone” doesn’t hurt! Nova is looking for a special new home that will give her the time and attention she needs to settle in. She is by no means a senior dog. An active person, couple or family with a sibling pooch that likes to run and play would be a good match. If you’d like a meet and greet with Nova to let her steal your heart, put in an application today! Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
