A SWEET & PLAYFUL GUY: Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 38 lbs. Hi, my name is Norbert! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and I am soaking up all the love and attention here. I recently spent time in a great foster home, and I am now back at the shelter ready to find my new home, so come meet me soon and see if I am your new furry family member! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I LOVE other dogs and really enjoy playing with and running around with them. Dogs my size would be best since I play with vigor and sometimes don’t read when it’s time to stop. So, if you have a nice dog around my size or perhaps a little bigger that’s looking for a very playful friend, let’s meet! / I mostly ignored the cat in my former foster home, though I sometimes wanted to play with them, which they were not interested in. I’d likely do fine with a dog-friendly and confident kitty, so let’s meet! / I’ve not met kids at Mostly Mutts yet. I am super active and ‘a lot of dog’, so older kids would be the best fit in my new home. Best no toddlers or small children that I may accidentally bump over with my playful enthusiasm. Of course, let’s meet! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I am a very sweet boy who is fun, active and friendly! I love spending time with people and even give some hugs, but I can also entertain myself with toys which I find very fun. I was calm and wonderful for my shelter bath. I’m ready to be part of great furever family! / My energy level is 6-8. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I will be learning lots of great doggie commands with my trainer. I know the ‘sit’ command so far and I look forward to learning a lot more. I’m working on my leash skills, as sometimes I pull and jump a bit. / In my foster home I napped fine in my crate, but I didn’t like it when the door was closed. I think I’m doing better with this at Mostly Mutts. / I was on a schedule in my former foster home but would occasionally sneak off and have an accident. I don’t yet signal that I need to go outside, so please keep me on a good schedule, with praise and treat rewards, so I can master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES: Playing with squeaky toys and chewing on Benebones are two of my favorite things. I also loved running around super-fast in my former foster’s yard. I’d joyfully run the perimeter and stay on alert for squirrels, chipmunks and birds. I’d love a family to be active with as well as relax and be affectionate with. / I sometimes withdraw and cower when I’m corrected, so I may have been corrected a bit too harshly in the past when I made a mistake - I wouldn’t like that in my new home. I don’t like being alone for long periods of time, so a home with a family member who is there a good bit would be best. I can’t think of any other dislikes, though I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I am looking for an active and loving home where I will be a cherished member of the family! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
