Nora has found her forever home with the Brookses in Princeton, MA
UPDATE 3/28: Nora is being fostered in Dedham, MA and here is what her current foster mom (who has had her for 5 days) has to say about her:
"Nora is doing very well. She is relaxing a lot and definitely coming out of her shell. I will try to make a new video of her and send it to you. She is so sweet, very "ladylike" and gentle. I read that she didn't do well with a crate and I haven't pushed it. She sleeps with the other dogs and has done well. Only one accident the first night but she was very timid about going out and I don't think she was sure where to go. Since then - no accidents. All in all I would say she is progressing and doing very well. I think she will make a great pet for anyone - does well with adults, kids and other dogs."
This 10 month old Beauty is Nora. She is a 60 lb Black Lab Mix found a stray. Her TN foster mom told us that "She is a loving & sweet girl and enjoys being talked to and petted." She was initially a shy girl and will need an adopter that is patient with her as she may take a bit to warm up in a new situation. Her adopter must have a fenced yard which will give her the exercise & play time that she needs to build her relationship with her adopter. She loves to play with other dogs. She does not generally like to be in a crate. It is recommended that she go to a home without small children due to her shyness. If you have the time & patience to give this sweet & loving girl her forever home, please apply for her today! Her adoption fee is $375.
Please complete an
online APPLICATION if you wish to adopt. Forever Home Rescue New England is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
We are a network of foster homes in the South and the New England area. THERE IS NO SPECIFIC SHELTER LOCATION. If you wish to meet our dogs, you must first be approved by going through our application and screening process.
Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs. All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered. Vet fees, transport fee and New England quarantine fees ARE INCLUDED in each dog's adoption fee. Also, any dogs older than pups--even if they are not marked housetrained in their posting---usually housetrain within a day or two, because most are used to living outside in the south and will prefer to "do their business" outdoors.
