Nona

We have rescued a TON of dogs, so to say one might hold the record for being the sweetest soul we’ve ever saved is pretty bold… but Nona here is exactly that. None is a 2 year old Collie mix weighing around 40lbs who was rescued along with her puppies from Ohio. It appeared that they were living outside, and she gave her all for those pups. She was emaciated, filthy, covered in fleas and ticks, and Lyme positive. She was absolutely terrified and knew nothing about life besides neglectful treatment, and she still learned to trust those who were trying to help her. Nona is crate trained, potty trained when on a consistent routine, and walks wonderfully on a leash though she needs a little reassurance in new places. Her foster dad says she stays very close to him on walks and looks to him for comfort when she is unsure. She is cat neutral and pretty scared of dogs so an only dog home would be preferable, but she could probably co-habitate with a completely neutral very easy dog who will give her space. She is VERY affectionate towards people and loves to cuddle and play. She is very mild mannered and living with respectful children shouldn’t be an issue. This dog will steal your heart in an instant any anyone would be incredibly lucky to call her theirs!
