Nixon-Adopted!

Nixon's September Update: >br>
Nixon had his first knee surgery and is healing well. He has gained a bit of weight due to his limited mobility but as he becomes more active will shed those extra pounds and soon be ready for his next surgery.

We are accepting applications for Nixon's adoption now. We hope to have a forever home picked out for him to move into once he has had some time to heal from his second surgery. Please fill out our on-line application or e-mail us for more information or to set up a time to meet Nixon and his foster family.

We want to thank everyone for their incredible support! TnT was able to fund raise for his surgeries and can now cover his surgery costs!
Your generosity as well as the generous donation made by Trenant Park Pet Clinic for Nixon's eye tuck and other medical care has given Nixon a new lease on life!

May 2007; Nixon finds a foster home!

Nixon is in a loving, temporary foster home in Ladner, BC. He is sharing a home with a lovely little girl named Jenna, her doggie sister Clara (pictured w/Nixon), two cats, one grandmother and two great parents! Nixon just adores his foster home.

Sadly, finding this wonderful home is only the beginning for Nixon. Nixon has several medical issues that need tending too.
Nixon has to have surgery on both legs due to luxating patellas. He came to us noticeable in pain when walking, with severe skin allergies as well as impaired vision due to a severe eye condition.
Thankfully surgery has corrected his eyes and he can now see much better and is no longer in pain. His allergies are also now under control and he has been neutered as well.
Nixon is preparing for his first leg surgery now that he is healthy and strong enough. These surgeries will be done one leg at a time and we are hoping his first surgery will be in late July.

Nixon is a loving, trusting, sweet as pie Shar-pei. He is in some pain now but does not show it. All he does is cuddle, try to play a bit with his K-9 foster sis and give the nicest kisses ever.
Nixon is a diamond in the rough and once his legs and skin are well again he will be the best Shar-pei boy imaginable. His personality and charm make him so wonderful already. We can't wait for him to enjoy life without any pain. For him to be able to run and play like he tries so hard to do now.
