My Story

Nina is a very sweet girl, looking for a very special home. Nina was found wandering the streets of Stockton with her four legged family after her two legged family moved away and left them behind to fend for themselves. As you can imagine, they came to us struggling to trust humans. Poor Nina would try and make herself as small as she could to avoid any contact. Since being in her foster home, she has come a long way! She is now seeking attention from her foster family, sitting in laps, rolling over for belly rubs, and has even started on leash work! However, she’s struggles with meeting new people, and struggles with men. Nina has come a long way, but has a long way to go. You can expect that if you meet Nina, she will not run up to say hi to you, but will keep her distance and take time to warm up. We will require a couple of meets before sending Nina to her new home. Nina may warm up to be the dog you can take places and introduce to people, but right now she is a slow and steady kinda gal, who would prefer to stay at home with her people/person. Because of this, we are looking for a home with: No young kids Quiet household Patient household Single, older woman (or old Soul!) looking for a lapdog companion would be ideal. Nina is 17 pounds and is guessed to be about 2 years old. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. She is kid, dog and cat friendly, but needs to be in a home with older/quiet kids or no kids at all Reach out today!
