Nikki

Nikki is a female Border Collie cross. She is 8 months old and we believe that she is full grown. She is a nice compact size - Great for someone who doesn't want a large dog, or a tiny lap dog, although she'd be happy to sit on your lap all day. Nikki came to our shelter from a northern community after her mother was killed. She and her brother Reggie (adopted) were rescued and looked after by a kind lady who provided them with food, shelter, and some much needed TLC. She brought them to one of our foster homes on Christmas Eve. Nikki has been in foster care for 2 months. Nikki is a very sweet and friendly dog. She gets along great with other dogs and is good with cats. Her foster mom works in a daycare and has been bringing Nikki for visits and Nikki is fantastic with the kids. She will flop on the floor and roll on to her back and await tummy rubs from the kids. She also lets them hug her, and gives them kisses in return. She is working on her leash training and is doing well. Nikki is house trained, and kennel trained. When her foster parents are away she is kenneled, and she will sleep quietly through the night in her kennel. For being a stray northern dog she has adjusted to life as a pet very quickly! If you give her love and affection she will be your best friend! Nikki is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations so she is ready to go right away!
