My Story

This is Nikki. Nikki was a stray / lost furry girl in the street of El Paso, Texas. She was not chipped or spayed. Someone picked her up and took her home and introduced her to her 5 other dogs. She got along with all of them. The now owner injured her shoulders and is unable to care for Nikki. Nikki has jumped the fence when left outside long periods of time. Also, we are told by the “owner” that Nikki started chasing the house cat!! So, for the past 3-4 months, Nikki lives shut in a laundry room because she jumped the fence and would chase the house cat. However no one walked her or played with her. And now it is really important that we find her another home or foster ASAP. A week ago, two huskies that lived at the same house were found dead in the back yard from heat exposure…left outside for two days with no water or shade. Nikki is in boarding and not doing well. She is totally indifferent to other dogs and does not show any desire to play with any of them! Nikki is fixed, good on leash, good with other dogs in a home environment and needs a place ASAP. Please please help Nikki…we just don’t want her to become like the other two huskies who lived at her house. Boarding is stressing her!! Dying from heat exhaustion is a horrible painful way to die and had to remove Nikki from this house to avoid her dying in the same manner
