Meet NIKITA! NIKITA is a silver brindle, beautiful and sweet Cane Corso Mastiff who is approximately 2 years old. Originally found as a stray, her foster family has found that she is completely housebroken, walks well on a leash, loves her crate at naptime and bedtime and she likes to sleep in every morning! She loves to play, especially tug-of-war and any squeaky toys and sticks. She loves being in a car and doesn't get car sick at all. Considering how severely underweight she was a few months ago, she has already come a long way and is up to about 90 lbs now with about 5 or so more to go. Most importantly, she has not let her tough past daunt her incredible love and affection towards people and her zest for life. She is incredibly friendly, a bit goofy sometimes, but quiet and sweet and is fully crate trained. She is active, walks very well by your side on a leash, loves long walks and other dogs and is friendly with cats. She is living with another dog and cat now and really enjoys their company. She is a leaner and lives for affection and when she looks at you with those warm and beautiful eyes, it’s impossible not to shower her with love. She is typical of her breed, becoming attached to her family, and she is a loyal family guardian with a big bark when needed. She does not like to be left alone for too long and a household providing her some company during the day is preferred. Since she is a big and strong girl and loves to be with her owners, we think Nikita would be best in an adult household and/or with older children. She is good with young children, but since young kids are so excitable and she gets excited easily, older children in the household would be best. She has lots of energy and having an outlet to run in and burn it off would be in her best interest. Nikita has undergone obedience training and dog socialization programs and has excelled at all. Because she was a former stray, it is recommended that she be fed separately from other animals (although she does not exhibit any food aggression with other dogs around people food (i.e., dinner time around a coffee table, etc.)). She craves a loving devoted companion or family that can give her good, loving care. NIKITA is really the best dog and wants to be your buddy forever.
