Nieva

Nieva is currently living and training with her handlers at Beaumont Correctional Center. Through a partnership with the Virginia Department of Corrections, Pixie's Pen Pals (a program of FETCH a Cure) places homeless dogs in the care of incarcerated people for dedicated, individualized training and socialization guided by canine behavior specialists. We think Nieva will be ready to find her forever family later this Fall, but adoption applications are accepted anytime. She is just the sweetest little thing with so much love to give <3 Nieva moved into Beaumont Correctional on July 3rd to begin training with her handlers and the other pups in the Pen Pals program (check out the adoption profiles for Buddy, Broly, and Shadow to get to know the whole pack!). We aren’t quite sure how old she is, but we suspect she had a tough start to life and has had multiple litters of pups in her day, but now she’s ready to live the good life! Keep an eye on FETCH a Cure’s social media in the coming weeks as we learn more about her personality and ideal home, but so far she seems to really enjoy a good nap (preferably leaning against your side or in a nest of blankets) and enjoys the company of other pups (but not cats, unfortunately).
