Nick

"Nick" has such a sad story. This sweet, 12-year-old man lived his entire life in an outdoor pen. We aren't sure if it was sheer boredom, starvation, or both, but Nick's teeth are so worn down that they are all completely flat. This lovely, handsome fella was never loved or cared for properly, but he "smiles" anyway! Nick was very fortunate to be rescued from Animal Control by our volunteer who just couldn't stand the though that he would be euthanized without ever knowing love a day in his life. She wanted to make sure that Nick's golden years are his best! Nick's foster mom reports that he is a gentle, low-maintenance guy. His favorite pastime is lounging in the sun! Nick gets along well with other dogs and he would probably enjoy the companionship of gentle, respectful children. Despite his advanced age, Nick is in fairly good health. With proper care and love, he could do well for several more years! Nick is fully vetted -- neutered, heartworm negative, and current on his vaccinations and deworming.
