Newt

Newt is a super sweet and fun loving dog. Newt has a lot of favorite things such as playing fetch, but mostly Newt's favorite thing to do is to be with YOU! We have no idea of Newt's past, but we know it was not good. He came to our rescue from a high kill shelter in Oklahoma. He was extremely emaciated, just skin and bones. The shelter thought that he was a blind senior dog because of the condition he was in. Fast forward.... veterinarians believed that Newt suffered some form of physical trauma, but that is all in the past. New is healthy, happy and has no loss of vision. Good nutrition and a loving foster mom healed him right up. Newt is currently in a foster home in Minnesota, but is now ready for his forever home. Newt is a very social boy. He loves everyone he meets, both humans and animals. He has never met a stranger and doesn't seem to have a mean bone in his body. He does great with dogs of all sizes, both male and female. He is on the submissive side and has gotten along with any dog he has met. He is neutral and non reactive to cats and adores being around kids. Newt's ideal home is one where he has another canine companion to play with and snuggle up to. He would do best in a home with an active family, perhaps with kids that will want to participate in activities with him. He will benefit in a home with a yard so he can have his zoomies and a family that is home often or one that can take him with them when on the go. Newt does not like to be left alone and can become anxious when separated Newt wants to do everything right and is so eager to learn and please. He is a healthy boy and would make an excellent companion and loyal best friend. Please considering adding Newt to your life.
