My Story

Introducing "Nevaeh"! She came in as a stray in February so we don't know much about her life before she got to HSNBA but she has been SO LUCKY to have found an amazing foster home to wait in until she finds her forever person! Neveah is the brown dog! Here's a report from her foster mom: "She's great with dogs, cats and kids! She doesn't know what stranger danger is because she loves everyone she meets. Nevaeh will play in the backyard and hang out on the couch watching movies all day long if that's what her forever home wanted to do." Neveah would be a great "first dog" for a family, and would easily transition into almost any household. You may be thinking, "She looks so happy there, why doesn't her foster just adopt her?" and our answer to that is because there are so many MORE dogs this foster home could help if we can find Neveah a forever home, and that is what fostering is all about - helping one dog at a time. Can you help us find Nevaeh her FOREVER home? She's some sort of terrier mix - your guess is as good as ours - a little over a year old, only about 30 pounds, house trained, fixed, vaccinated, chipped and heartworm negative! She is going to make someone a really great dog if we can just FIND that someone! Nevaeh has been in foster care for several months now! This weekend 8/1-8/3 Nevaeh will be in our adoption room, hoping to get more eyes on her.HSNBA lists all animals online from the moment of intake, and our listings are updated automatically every midnight. Some of these animals may not be available for adoption at this moment, but you can always call the shelter at 830-629-5287 for clarification on the adoption process or the animal's current status.
