Nettie

Every love story is beautiful; but ours? Ours... is my favorite. I'm Nettie! I'm an almost 2-year-old, 34-lb, bashful and beautiful wirehaired/border collie girl! As if I'm straight from the roaring 20's, I'm a honey-eyed wallflower, just waiting for my fur-ever human to take my paw and show me how to dance. :) I was born and raised in a tiny enclosure with my little sister, barely able to keep ourselves upright. We were rescued at the 11th hour by some beautiful humans, who saved us in the nick of time. I may have been slow to believe in them, and in myself, but now that I do... Gatsby himself wouldn't believe my glow! I'm a shy, sweet girl who has both beauty AND brains! However, I am growing in confidence! I am potty-trained and kennel-trained like a true debutante, and I'm great on my leash with the occasional lindy-hop prance when I get excited for where we're going! In fact, I am so well kennel-trained that I will take myself to bed for a beauty nap when I need one; but not before I give out kisses goodnight to my trusted tribe! I love to work, learn new tricks and of course, those yummy treats! I am also the cat's meow with other mannerly mutts! I love the company of polite pups who don't mind my motherly nature, and once I get to know them; they're the bee's knees in my eyes! I'm still a bashful blusher with new folks, but once I meet you a few times to get to know you, I am ALL backseat-smooches and drive-in movie snuggles! I'm ready for the Sadie Hawkins dance of fur-ever's,, and would love a relaxed house-setting with a fenced-in yard so I can keep getting used to the big, bright world around me; and show you my silly goose goofiness, too! No a-paw-tments for this diffident daffodil :) My future paw-son will be patient, loving, kind, and able to keep my blooms blossoming as I continue to learn how beautiful rescued life truly is!
