Hi my name's Nelson and I am 6 month old neutered Border Collie Lab cross. I'm a very bright pup who knows all the basic obedience commands like sit, stay, down, come and heel on leash. I LOVE water, I like to dive in after balls and playing with the hose. I really like to play fetch and frisbee even jumping over obstacles to get to the ball and return it back to whose ever throwing it. I am very fast and love to run after geese and gophers. I like to run along on bike rides and I have endless energy so I'd be a great companion on long walks or even jogging. I take direction very well and love to learn new tricks, my foster mom says I would be great at fly-ball or agility. I enjoy socializing at doggy day-care and I get along with both dogs and cats. I am a real softy too, looking for hugs and snuggles wherever I can find them. Definitions:

Pending - means that we are working through the adoption process with the 1st applicant. We usually don't add the pending until we are pretty sure the adoption will go through (like at the home visit stage)

On Trial or Trial Visit - means that the dog is in their new home for up to 2 weeks before the adopters need to commit to keeping the dog. We want to make sure that everyone is happy with the new living arrangements! We allow this option for everyone except very long distance adoptions (too far to drive).

Adopted - you know!! A happy ending for a homeless dog. We try to let everyone know when we have the final word. Within about 24 hours, the dog's bio will be moved to our happy tails section!
