Hello there, I'm Nellie, and I'm hoping to find my forever home with someone special who will love me as much as I'll love them. My journey hasn't been easy-I was found as a stray, and despite being thin and struggling with yeasty skin, I've made remarkable progress thanks to the care I've received. When I first arrived at the shelter, one of the staff members took me home for a few nights, and I quickly bonded with her. I'm the type of dog who becomes deeply attached to my person-I'd love to be your velcro dog, sticking close to you wherever you go! I might not immediately seek attention when we first meet, but give me some time to get to know you, and I'll become your loyal best friend. I absolutely adore tennis balls and hard toys to chew on-they're my favorite things! Don't worry about me being destructive-I'm perfectly content with my dog beds and haven't caused any trouble here. I'd prefer a home with older kids or just adults because I can be quite possessive of my toys and like to keep them close.
