My Story
Hi! I'm Neko. I am a very sweet, curious, intelligent, and good-natured youngster.
I am a happy friendly boy looking for a home to call my very own. Some good Samaritans found me wandering the streets. Thankfully took me in, got me cleaned up and contacted my friends at BAGSR to help find my perfect match. If you're looking for the bestest boy, you've come to the right place!
I'd do great in a home with another dog companion and possibly kids! I'm housebroken and don't bark or claw at doors to be let outI just stand or lie by the door. When someone knocked on our door once, I didn't bark at all; I was just curious about the visitor. I might bark a few times at sudden, unfamiliar sounds outside, but I stop quickly. I'm still working on leash training, and I'm learning commands like sit, heel, and wait.
I sleep in my foster mom and dad's bedroom on a dog bed, and I love the cozy corner next to their bed. I also know which rooms in the house are off-limits. I'm comfortable being touched anywhere on my body, including my paws and tail, and I'm not territorial or aggressive around food or treats.
I'm very quiet and only bark occasionally when I'm startled or really excited to play. I don't bark in response to other dogs barking. I love cuddling and often throw a front leg across my humans' arm in a sort of hug. When I've had enough of being touched, I just move away to nap nearby. I really enjoy meeting new people, including kids, and I love being around other dogs, always matching their demeanor.

I travel really well in the car and am easy to bathe, drying quickly because I don't have a thick undercoat like some German Shepherds. I don't chew on furniture, shoes, or anything else. I'm very handy with my long, flexible toes that grip almost like a cat's, using them to grab my toys and balls firmly.
I take treats gently and am very smart. I would love to continue to learn more and maybe even go to dog school.
I'll be waiting in Stockton. Hope to meet you!
