This is Ike. We are pretty sure he a purebred Akbash. He is a sweet wonderful boy. He is between 2 and 3 years old. So fairly young.
Wonderful and super loving with all people. He adores children! As you can see from the photos! He has not yet been exposed to cats or other dogs to see how he does. So for now we are recommending he not be placed with dogs or cats until we know more.
He was a working dog we believe, but has quickly adapted to being a loved family member at his foster home. He is extremely intelligent, but very sweet and mellow. He doesn't dig or bark. at all. He stays in a 4 1/2 foot fence. He is in foster care in Nebraska. He will not be adopted out to anyone who wants him to work. He is a family boy now.
He has learned to walk nicely on a lead and is a wonderful family companion dog.
