Hi, my name is Nana and I am a 6 year old Saint Bernard. Not too long ago my owners surrendered me to the West Valley Animal Shelter because they felt my medical bills would be too much. As I grew older I developed a condition that makes my eyelashes grow inward. This is very painful and has left scar tissue on my eyes. If untreated, it can even leave me blind. Fortunately, the condition is treatable and the good people at Ruff Patch Rescue are doing their best to get me help. Once they have raised enough money I can have a simple surgery and will no longer be in pain. The best news is that after surgery I can go to my new home with loving owners. And the only bills they will have to worry about are for all that food I love to eat. UPDATE!! Nana successfully had her eye surgery on Tuesday November 24th and is recovering perfectly!!!
