My Story

All Planned Pethood dogs and puppies are altered (spayed/neutered) and fully vetted prior to adoption. Dog breed is a best guess by the vet and/or Petfinder breed expert findings. We cannot guarantee breed, weight, age of dogs or final adult size of puppies.

Nakita is 2 1/2 years old and weighs about 30 lbs. She is a bit too big to be a Klee Kai, and she is very small for a Siberian husky. Whichever breed she is, she's a great dog! She was originally rescued from the Fulton County dog pound, and was found to have heartworm. She has been successfully treated, spayed and vaccinated, and now she is ready for a new home. Nakita has been in a home with many dogs and gets along great with all of them. Her best friends are a male chihuahua and a yorkie mix, who she loves to play with. She has also been around several smaller female dogs. She does well with them too, but she does insist on being the dominant dog, so she should probably not live with another strong-willed female. She has been around cats and isn't aggressive with them but she will chase them so it would be best if she was adopted to a home without cats. She is housetrained and crate trained, although she is not usually crated in her foster home. For a husky especially, she has been an easy-going dog. While she doesn't bark or howl for no reason, she is talkative and will let you know what she thinks about whatever is going on. She does love to run and play outside, so a fenced in yard is a must for her adoption. For more information, contact her foster mom directly at [email protected] . Application, home and vet check, and adoption fee does apply to Nakita's adoption.
