My Story

Female, approx. 5 years old, 46 lbs Personality: playful, easygoing, affectionate, snuggler, and outgoing. Hi Folks! I am Muffin, and who doesn't love a good muffin? I am a calm and friendly pooch who just loves being around people and other dogs. I like to stop and visit with neighbors along my route, and I especially enjoy gently getting pets from the one year old girl who lives nearby. It's fun to snuggle up in the crate and nap with the other dog in my foster home, but I'd be happy to be your only dog too. I have adorable quirks -- I get all wiggly when I know something great is about to happen, like going for a walk or eating food! I adapted quickly to my foster home, and am house and crate trained. I'm proud to report that my foster says I'm the easiest dog she's ever had. If you're looking for someone to accompany you out and about, I'm quite well-behaved at restaurant patios. I'd love to go for a walk together so you can observe firsthand my calm yet playful demeanor. I bet one look into my eyes will melt your heart. So let's make a date: your new favorite Muffin awaits. I hope you will apply to meet me -- I'm sure to be your favorite morning Muffin! If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Leptospirosis, and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained. We also update our Facebook page daily with new cats and dogs.
