My Story

Donate to the PALS Doggy Digs Fund!
The Poweshiek Animal League Shelter is raising funds for a dog housing expansion at the shelter. Money raised will enable construction of a 30 by 50 foot addition, which will house PALS dogs. It will include new indoor and outdoor kennels, and will give dogs freedom to come in and out of the building, all while staying safely contained.
Not only will this greatly benefit the dogs, but it will also benefit the cats, as the cat room will be moved to the current dog room, giving much more space for playtime. The cat room will be converted into a much needed isolation room.
Simply PayPal to [email protected] or mail your check to PALS, PO Box 123, Grinnell, IA 50112 - note that your donation is for the Doggy Digs Fund!
THANK YOU!!

This homeless kid is in PALS foster care, and not at the shelter, so be sure to call or e-mail PALS to set up a meeting! Thanks so much!

Hello? Is anybody out there? The PALS people said that I should come and say some stuff about myself so my furever fambly could find me, so here I am! I can't wait to find my furever fambly because I really love being in a real home - I snuggle under the covers and I've already scouted out the softest places in my foster home - the couch is pretty good but the couch PLUS a blanket is even better!

I'm just about 4 1/2 years old which you pawbably know is pretty young for a kid my size, about 20 pounds. I like the other dogs here, and the cats are fine too. So far I've been doig all my pottying outside and that seems to make my foster mom really happy! The PALS people are taking care of all the dogtor stuff so when I come home, we can just focus on being together. I was already spayed when I came to PALS.

I have a weird oily spot on my back that my foster mom is working on getting out - I don't remember what happened but my foster mom thinks maybe I rubbed under something or took a nap under a leaky engine. Whatever it is, she says I'm too little and too sweet to be hanging out on the streets all alone so it's a good thing I'm here, with a chance for a real home! Please call or e-mail the PALS people about me!

Moxie's adoption donation is $95 which includes her spay, microchipping, deworming, and shots. Please call or e-mail the PALS contact information located below to find out more about making this sweetheart a part of your family!

Please be patient with us - we're taking care of a lot of furkids - our own and the PALS kids - and we are all volunteers with families, homes and full time jobs. We'll return email and phone inquiries just as fast as we pawssibly can. Thanks!

ADOPTIONS: We don't let the fact that you might live out of state stop any adoption that's meant to be, but you MUST be willing to drive, or fly, all the way to pick up your new family member.

ADOPTION DONATIONS: Adoption donations for PALS animals go directly either to medical care for those or other furkids in need, or towards maintenance, supplies, and improvement of the newly-built shelter!
